When Celine sings: "I am your lady and you are my man" ...
both 'lady' and 'man' could mean 'child' or 'God'

Dr. Don Haynes
1549 Old Lexington Road P.O. Box 5470 Asheboro, NC 27204 Dear Dr. Haynes,
I do not know if you remember me. I attended your ‘The Shack’ study group meetings in January and February of last year at the Covennant United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. I enjoyed the meetings very much and have shared the message with several of my friends and family.
About 2 years ago it started to happen that every time I listened to Celine Dion’s song ‘The Power of Love’ that, when I closed my eyes, I began to see images that were related to the Love of God for us in the person of Jesus. Even though, obviously, the words of the song related to the love between a man and a woman, all the lines could be applied to God’s love for Us. Even the ones that said ‘sometimes I am frightened’ I had never before considered the idea that God ever could become frightened or afraid or scared. And then I remembered the scripture: Matthew 27:46
And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by. And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will." About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
God granted me the desire in my heart and helped me find all the images and scriptures needed to create the QuickTime Movie that I have included.
It is the deep desire in my heart to be a fruitful laborer in the harvest. I have many friends and family all over the world who either do not know God or have been turned off by ‘religion’ and therefore have abandoned God as well.
I sent them a copy of ‘The Power of Love’ and let God work in their hearts. I am sending you a copy because I remember you and I hope that you like it.
